Winter Quilting Retreat

Piece By Piece Quilt Shop is once again hosting the 2011 Winter Quilting Retreat. Located at 22 N. State St. in Ephrata, Pa., enjoy a truly warm quilting experience in the heart of Lancaster County. If you are “mad” for fabric shopping, quilting, or just plain tired of the winter blahs, then this is the perfect alternative for a winter weekend. Bring along any of those “I meant to finish...” projects. Or if you prefer to start something new, then maybe you want to choose to make “Thinking Outside the Block” from Toadusew*. This is a weekend devoted to making new friends, experiencing Amish country, and quilting until you drop.

Course Fee: $195.00* (includes pattern)
Includes Saturday lunch and dinner, tour of local quilt shops, and quilting instruction throughout the weekend. Course leadership will be provided by sewing and quilting expert Nancy Hibshman.

“Pattern Party”
A fresh, new concept and refreshing change for Thimbleberries members.Join us this year for 12 months of quilting and party fun! You will love all of the seasonal themed projects. You can view all of the projects and fabric samples in the shop. Please contact the shop by December 17th if interested.
There are 2 meeting times each month to choose from: Tuesday evening meetings are at 6 p.m. and Saturday meetings begin at 9 a.m.
Tuesdays (second Tuesday of each month): January 10, February 14, March 13, April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11, 2012.

QUILTING FOR CHARITY
Pillow-of-Love and A Case for Smiles are organizations that provide beautiful pillowcases to women and/or children who are sick, displaced, in a recovery shelter, or international orphanage. This project is not only fun to make but fast and easy! Piece By Piece will supply the fabric, however, donations of cheerful cotton or flannel fabric to be used for the pillowcases is always welcome. Registration is appreciated, but not necessary.Fee: None
